Safety Guidelines
Your safety is our top priority. Follow these essential guidelines when operating any rented equipment.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
All operators and nearby personnel must wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Hard hat (ANSI/ISEA Z89.1 compliant)
- High-visibility safety vest (Class 2 or higher)
- Steel-toed boots with slip-resistant soles
- Safety glasses or goggles for dust/debris environments
- Hearing protection when operating diesel machinery
- Work gloves appropriate for the task
Pre-Operation Inspection
Before starting any equipment, conduct a thorough walk-around inspection.
- Check hydraulic hoses and connections for leaks
- Inspect tires/tracks for damage and proper inflation
- Verify all safety guards and covers are in place
- Test all controls, brakes, and steering before moving
- Check fluid levels: engine oil, hydraulic fluid, coolant
- Ensure fire extinguisher is accessible and charged
Operational Guidelines
Follow all manufacturer instructions and OSHA standards during operation.
- Only trained and authorized personnel may operate equipment
- Never exceed the machine's rated capacity or reach limits
- Maintain a minimum 10-foot clearance from power lines
- Never operate under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- Use a spotter in congested or limited visibility areas
- Engage parking brake and lower attachments when leaving the cab
Jobsite Safety Zones
Establish clearly marked safety zones around all operating equipment.
- Barricade swing radius of excavators and cranes
- Use cones and caution tape to mark active work zones
- Assign a dedicated safety officer on large-scale projects
- Ensure all personnel are aware of equipment blind spots
- Prohibit unauthorized access to the operating area
